    The Role:

    As a Software Development Engineer in Test with (ADIQ), you will be designing and developing automated solutions that help guarantee the software quality across Amazon’s suite of devices for regional markets around the world. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving big data, back-end services, and cloud connectivity all with the goal of delivering seamless device experience to the customer. A successful candidate will have an interest in developing automated solutions for consumer facing products, strong technical ability, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for devices. This role requires relocation to a regional hub.
    · Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test solutions for large-scale, critical, and/or highly complex software.
    • Own the team test architecture, providing a system-wide view and design guidance.
    • Design and develop our automation framework which can run use-cases, scenarios and situations end-to-end
    • Lead and manage test planning and strategy across several unit development teams for a concise and unified game plan of product validation
    • Implement automation to validate modern user interfaces and messaging infrastructures.
    • Work with individual unit teams to ensure the Test strategy is realized and implemented
    • Partner with business stakeholders to help analyse our current data to build usage models for the future which will become the backbone of our test planning and strategy.
    • Contribute streamlined automated data for our engineering dashboards.

    Basic Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • Experience in one or more of the following: Java , C#, C++
    • Knowledge of scripting languages like PERL, JavaScript or Python
    • Evidence of projects delivered in in a Linux development environment.
    • 9+ years of professional experience in software quality and testing methodologies and patterns

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Extensive experience with major time designing and building automation frameworks
    • Experience/Knowledge about communication protocols, architecture and platforms is a plus
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
    • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization.
    • Experience in identifying and solving ambiguous software quality problems, architecture deficiencies that impact system testability, and/or improve engineer efficiency.
    • Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience in developing product test harnesses and instrumenting products to gather test results
    • Experience with test driven development and establishing unit test infrastructures
    • Experience automating the validation of modern user interfaces and messaging infrastructures
    • Experience with evaluating and integrating open source and in house developed toolsets
    • Good communication skills and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metrics
    • Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
